The NBT presentation scheduled for tonight was canceled due to an unforeseen emergency.

Kelly Wares was in attendance tonight, she has some concerns about the house located at the corner of Dairy hill and Military road. The board has agreed to have our codes enforcer and health inspector check it out.

Talk also took place on another residence in town that suffered a fire over a year ago. The board is going to check into this further.

Judy mentioned to the board that the town of Russia no longer has a Judge.

Our town will no longer be taking arraignments from the town of Russia.

P.G. 2

Fred Shaw was in attendance, he wanted the town to be aware that the jail is moving forward at the old P&C site. He also stated that a new business the Pumpkin Patch will be bringing 200-400 jobs to our area.

Discussion took place on one of our trucks (9000)

The truck is overheating, the guys have done extensive work to the truck and nothing seems to be helping. The board suggested taking it to Dennis Winkler and having him look at it. This is our back up truck. A new radiator cost about $ 2,100.00.

We need to figure into the budget for some new equipment. We need a new pickup truck, small town truck and a new tandem.

Little league discussion took place. The town has received a grant of $8,100.00 for sod and clay. This has been ordered through Cazenovia, the have agreed to hold the price for us. This also includes them rolling it out. Judy is going to find out if we need to prep the field. If we do the town will help prep it.

We have all the bases, foul ball poles, pitching mounds, outfield fencing, and back stop for T-ball, and the score board. We need benches and roofing for dug outs. The town and little league will work together to get this done. We will have porta potty delivered on May 1st and keep until August.

Historian discussion took place Judy has checked into this and the town needs to have a Historian. This year it will be a non paying position, due to we did not budget for it. Judy has advertised this on the towns Face book page and the town Web site.

We need to make some changes to the Rec. rental, let people know there is another town parking lot. No parking on the side of the road if they do they will be ticketed.

Governors’ budget proposal has been tabled until next month, until everyone has a chance to read over the materials on shared services.

Basic run down says that Norway wouldn’t be saved we would become part of Ohio and there would be one Highway department.

Motion made by C. Siver and seconded by C. Crossett for meeting to adjourn at 8:45 pm.

Next meeting April 13, 2017

Respectfully submitted by,

Lora Grower/ Town Clerk
